Overview
Serving as the main face of recruitment while managing our social media and overall branding, I was voted in as VP of Community Outreach. In this role, I completely redesigned and published our Greek Life Guidebook to modernize how our council connects with chapters and prospective members. I built a clean, engaging layout that clearly breaks down council resources while giving each chapter a dedicated space to show off its unique brand, official colors, and community impact. Beyond the guidebook, I served as a creative resource for the broader fraternity and sorority community, assisting other governing councils with graphic design projects like custom t-shirt designs for campus-wide events.
MGC Magazine
Designed and published a revamped Greek Life Guidebook to modernize communication between governing councils, individual chapters, and incoming student members. The project focused on creating a clean, engaging layout that clearly communicates council resources while celebrating the distinct identity of every chapter on campus.
Key Contributions
Council Identity & Support Hub: Designed clear, accessible introductory spreads that outline council leadership, core missions, and direct channels where chapters and students can get guidance.
Custom Chapter Spread Redesign: Engineered a fresh, flexible template system featuring custom color palettes matched to each chapter's official branding, spotlighting their philanthropy, who they are and how to join
Information Architecture & Visual Hierarchy: Reorganized dense administrative information into digestible scannable sections, utilizing clear typography, balanced grid layouts, and active imagery.
Multi-Platform Deliverables: Prepared print-ready files and digital PDFs optimized for web downloads and social media integration.
IFC Recruitment
Conceptualized and designed the official Interfraternity Council (IFC) recruitment t-shirt, translating complex organizational identity into an engaging, campus-focused piece of apparel. The design visually connected the broader state community with the fraternity network while staying rooted in university traditions and brand identity.
Key Contributions
Concept & Illustration Development: Illustrated a dynamic dynamic runner carrying the Greek torch—symbolizing the unifying light of fraternity and sorority life—encircled by a custom state map.
Intricate Information Design: Divided the map of Iowa into 30 distinct vector sections, with each geometric segment representing an individual chapter within the Interfraternity Council.
On-Brand Visual Aesthetics: Applied Iowa State’s secondary color palette to ensure the apparel felt distinct yet fully aligned with university brand guidelines.
Iterative Officer Collaboration: Partnered closely with IFC recruitment officers through feedback loops, refining vector assets, scaling layout compositions, and prepping final artwork for vendor print production.
MGC Brochure
Designed an introductory guest brochure created to welcome prospective members, families, and visitors to our Greek community. I structured the layout to highlight core council values, chapter resources, and key membership details, while featuring our flagship annual event—Meet the Greeks—prominently on the back page to maximize attendance and engagement.
Council Branding
As Vice President of Community Outreach, I spearheaded the visual identity and digital strategy for the Multicultural Greek Council to build a cohesive, recognizable brand across all member chapters. I led the creation of custom council logos and branding assets while directing our social media platforms to elevate recruitment and event engagement. Through strategic content planning, custom graphics, and consistent brand storytelling, I transformed our social channels into an inclusive digital hub that actively connects current members, prospective students, and the broader campus community.
